Special Education Teacher ~ Probationary Appointment Marion Elementary School NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities Childhood Grades 1-6 or Special Education Grades K-12 (Dual Certification in Students with Disabilities Early Childhood Grades B-2 preferred) Starting September 1, 2024 ~ 7:40 a.m. - 3:10 p.m.
The successful candidate will be a person of high integrity, who places students’ needs above his or her own professional preferences. They will be a strong team contributor, embrace professional risk-taking, and value innovation as a necessary attribute for continuous growth. The candidate must have the ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalized and innovative lessons, work collaboratively with grade level teams and service providers, and communicate proactively and positively with families, as well as support students’ academic and social emotional growth. They must have the ability to facilitate online/distance learning. Preference will be given to those with Literacy certification.
