Full-Time Bus Driver / Mechanic Marion Central School Transportation Department
The successful candidate must meet NYSED fingerprinting requirements, hold a NYS Class B CDL (or higher) with Passenger and School endorsements (willing to train right candidate to obtain proper endorsements). Must be able to pass a drug test, a Physical Performance test and a 19A Physical. Duties include, but are not limited to, safely operating school bus on daily runs and for special events as needed, perform required pre- and post-check of school bus, keep assigned bus clean, fill out daily reports of mileage, defects, incidents and bus condition and follow proper driving techniques and all vehicle and traffic laws. They will also perform maintenance on school bus fleet to insure safe operation and NYS DOT standards for school buses. Mechanical experience on both gas and diesel school buses preferred; ability to work independently and complete work in a timely manner and work with children on a daily basis required.
