Deliver Instruction: Implement lesson plans, ensuring continuity in student learning. Adapt lessons as needed to meet the diverse needs of students.  Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, organized, and respectful classroom environment.  Address student behavior, encourage participation, and foster a safe, inclusive atmosphere.  Access Student Progress: Monitor and document student performance through informal assessments and observations.  Provide feedback to students and collaborate with the regular teacher on student development.  Communicate with Parents and Staff: Maintain communication with the school staff and, when appropriate, with parents about student progress, behavior, or any concerns that may arise.  Supervise Students:  Oversee students during non-instructional times such as recess, lunch, or dismissal, ensuring their safety and well-being.  Collaborate with School Team: Work closely with fellow teachers, administrators, and other support staff to ensure a seamless learning experience for students and contribute to the overall school community.  Other duties as assigned.

Substitute School Nurse (RN)

The successful candidate will be child-centered and responsible for providing health care to students throughout the school day.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct health services to students

  • Administering medications per physician's orders

  • Assessing illnesses and injuries and providing appropriate care

  • Responding to medical emergencies within the building

  • Supporting the health and safety of students, staff, and visitors

 

Cook

This is a 10 month, benefited position. Five (5) hours / day - (7:30am - 12:30pm)

The Cook performs skilled, large-scale food preparation and cooking tasks in accordance with federal, state, and local school nutrition regulations. The Cook is responsible for preparing menu items following standardized recipes, maintaining food safety and sanitation procedures, and assisting in the daily operation of the school kitchen. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Cook Manager, Assistant School Lunch Manager, Food Service Director, or designee.
